Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, teens, young adults, adults, and the elderly
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
- Collaborate with families, schools, and other support systems
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Participate in regular supervision and professional development
Qualifications:
- Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
- Specialized training and experience in treating children and adolescents
- Strong understanding of developmental psychology and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to making a positive impact
- Registered Social Worker in good standing with the College of Registered Social Workers

Practicum Placement for Masters Students
Turning Point Counselling Centre is an approved placement location for Masters in Psychology and Masters in Counselling Psychology students.
If you are considering private practice after graduation, gain valuable experience in the field while supporting a wide variety of clientele in a trauma-informed clinic.
During your time at TPC, you will
* work individually with clients from all age demographics within the parameters of your program.
* have a flexible work schedule and hours that meet the parameters of your program
* engage in weekly supervision for free that meets both requirements of your program and your licensing board (CRPO).
* provide a weekly video of sessions for feedback for supervision
* establish yourself as a professional in the field of psychotherapy
* provide reduced fee services when needed supporting the need for more accessible therapy for all within our community.
A successful applicant will have the following:
* Undergraduate degree in Psychology or related field of study (Bachelor of Education welcome).
* Have two years of related experience working in the field of mental health.
* Be a mature self-motivated individual who thrives in a busy work environment.
* Is actively engaged in personal counselling therapy and continues on a journey of self-exploration.
* live within an hour of Brantford (this placement is in-person)
* be interested in working in private practice upon completion.
